Press Quotes

Israel Philharmonic Orchestra- Carmina Burana

The second [soloist] was Israeli soprano Chen Reiss, on whose beautiful singing I have gushed before. Demonstrating her abilities once more, her relatively small part was, for me, the highlight of the evening.
- Jerusalem Post, Israel, July 26, 2004

First of all, this evening belonged to Chen Reiss. She beguiled the audience with her crystal clear soprano reaching even the highest tones effortlessly.
- Haaretz, Israel. July 22, 2004

Chen Reiss, an internationally successful soprano, whose rapid development we have followed with each appearance at the Philharmonic, gave the piece its most exquisite moment.
- Habama, Israel. July 22, 2004.

Bayerische Staatsoper- Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Blonde)

Chen Reiss, whose immaculate coloratura soprano represents a significant addition to the roster of the Staatsoper, was able to lend radiant good cheer to the performance.
- Abendzeitung, Germany. April 14, 2004

Bayerische Staatsoper- Falstaff (Nannetta)

The fresh voice and fluent acting of Chen Reiss as the love struck Nannetta, were delightful.
- Der Neue Merker, April 2004

Israel Philharmonic- Le Nozze di Figaro (Barbarina)

Chen Reiss was very moving in the melancholic aria that was accompanied with breathtaking reserved playing of the orchestra.
- Ma'ariv, Israel. February 29, 2004

The highlights were: the young Chen Reiss as an innocent and charming Barbarina ...
- Yedioth Aharonot, Israel. February 24, 2004

The Israeli Chen Reiss (Barbarina) had a sweet voice and a charming appearance.
- Habama, Israel. February 23, 2004

Israel Philharmonic- Mozart concert arias

But the concert became worthwhile only starting from the next number, thanks to the wonderful Israeli soprano Chen Reiss. This 26-year-old demonstrated perfect technique, a beautiful voice, and a charming stage performance. It was surely an appetizer for her next IPO performance, where she will sing Barbarina in Mozart's the marriage of Figaro.
- Jerusalem Post, Israel. February 9, 2004

Reiss sings with rare ease, and has a flexible and magnificent voice.
- Haaretz, Israel. February 9, 2004

Pittsburgh Symphony- Bach Cantatas

Young Israeli soprano Chen Reiss also made her local debut this weekend. She is a fabulous coloratura soprano. Reiss sang thoroughly persuasive accounts of music by C.P.E. Bach ... Reiss than sang with memorable purity in "Anbetung mischt sich" and "Der Vogel sagt's den Luften" ... Reiss' brilliant performance for Cantata No. 51 was simply astonishing. Bach's florid writing was a romp for her. Reiss sang with such appealing tone that joyousness was more important than her brilliant technique-and that's making music.
